Usha Moss

A San Francisco native, Usha Moss began practicing yoga over twenty years ago, attending her first yoga teacher training in 2000. A registered member of the Yoga Alliance, Usha has trained with many senior teachers, including Sarah Powers, Annie Carpenter, Maty Ezraty, Tias Little, Nikki Estrada, and others. Usha's approach to teaching yoga recognizes that deepening one’s practice has less to do with achieving complicated poses than with what happens on the way there.

After the birth of her son in 2005, Usha started taking The Dailey Method as a way to regain strength. When the Mission-Castro studio opened 9 years ago, she joined the team, quickly becoming known for her attention to alignment, sequencing and adjustments, her barre classes are sneaky hard.

As a mom with a background in early childhood education and years of training, Usha welcomes students at all levels

Breathing mindfully, I dip the cup of my awareness into the wellspring of the here and now. I drink from the joy of the present moment.
